The air
- the savage, beating air
attacks
- waves of unrelenting heat,
guerilla outbursts
of fire
and raging storm
and twirling twists.
This air
- this savage, beating air
means to kill
whether by attacks
direct,
or not,
or denial of relief
or need,
or by mad craving
caused by thirst and sweat and fear
- for self or not.
Stay safe in heatwaves, and listen to the experts on managing fire risks - especially First Peoples, and taking care of oneself and others.
