I stumbled in to ...

I stumbled in 
to retirement 
- bashed, battered, undone 
by overload and harrying 
- few known outside 
the place of the slavish cult, 
and watched myself 
as I had watched 
others in like straits. 

Friends with those 
still on the inside 
was never going 
to work 
- they are still frantic, 
focused on  
doing, and then trying 
to heal the daily damage 
enough to live. 

Friends with those 
near to the inside 
those who had worked 
similarly, 
will, alas, 
similarly, 
not work 
- reminiscing on past pain, 
comparing past torments, 
is not a way 
to move on.  

Friends with family 
has a chance 
- unless they still work, 
or your pain and trauma, 
built barriers, 
and drove them away ... 

Friends must be anew 
- beginning with the self, 
and moving on, 
as with explorers of old 
casting off from home, 
maybe to sail home, 
maybe not, 
if greener pastures are found 
- and shared as equals.

If I get through 
- no, if I survive 
this facing hurdle
if I make it to 
what comes next 
will that also be 
asobarren as the now?  

Will I quest alone, 
unsupported, 
unappreciated, 
and 
unrelievedoof 
any of my burden? 

Will I never find 
those who wish to work 
their will and their way 
- theiromagick 
not on self, 
but on the world, 
and fixing the big stuff?

An army

I am, 

and in a war

of Spirit and spirits and Ideas, 

I am … an army. 

Body of world a-failing, 

I have an aura

I am … 

energy. 

I can create 

egregores and 

forms of thought, 

I can do sendings 

of Light

- projections 

from chakras 

and mind. 

Body failing, 

in a war of Light and dark, 

I am, 

if not an army, 

a goodly squad.

I came, 
with others 
to that beach, 
and almost 
crossed it 
- I fell, 
so others wouldn’t 
- those others 
who now will do
what we all

Dusk is come

Dusk 
time for the night to come 
- with clouds tonight, backlit by city centre's glow, 
no stars to cheer and soothe 
and in this land 
of nighttime lights 
and all times pervs 
I must close my blinds 
cutting myself off 
from night's calm quiet  
and healing, 
and recover from the harsh and hard day 
alone.
