A visitor

A few years ago I rescued a blackbird from the space between ground floor ceiling and first floor floor in our current home (which I wrote about here). I’ve seen blackbirds around here often enough since then, but in recent weeks one has taken to cruising through the side garden outside my window - bold as brass, as the saying goes. We often exchange glances, and today I finally thought to try taking a few photos. This is probably the best one, and I'll see if I can take some more.

The next day I managed to get a few photos of what could be yesterday's blackbird's partner:

This bird also glanced at me, but without anything other than cursory interest.
