A conversation (speculation)

After reading this (http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-08-24/melbourne-bom-radar-offline-what-you-need-to-know/8838222) the following conversation popped into my mind:

"Ah, they're shutting down the radar for six weeks!"

"Well, that's a bother. What for?"

"A good cause - they're installing dual polarisation."

"Oh, OK."

"You know as little about that as me, don't you?"

"Possibly less, if you're still reading that article."

- distract
with gaudy baubles
- dreams of also
being rich and glitzy.
Is that how
the rich and power
-ful elite
have held so much
power
for so long?
If so, it is we
not they,
who deserve
the most soundest of
condemnations,
for our mindless,
thoughtless,
and passive ...
acquiescence.

Roiling to match
   the rolling hills below
Grey and dark
   to bring the green below
